500 g of spelt flour

2 tsp dried yeast

1 tbsp of salt

280 ml of water

1 tbsp of honey

Tips

Fennel, cumin, star anise and coriander are great spices to use for the spice mixture.

RECIPE STEPS

Put all the ingredients in bowl and run the program.

  • 1 tbsp of salt
  • 280 ml of water
  • 1 tbsp of honey
  • 2 tsp dried yeast

Shape into a ball. Leave the dough to rise in bowl by running the program.
Expert 30:00 / 0 / 35°C

Shape the dough into a loaf and bake in the oven for 50 minutes at 220°C (without preheating the oven).

Mine came out a bit heavy, but it has a rich, delicious flavour. I used less salt, as a tablespoon sounded a bit much for 500g flour. Glad I did.Also, the lady at Magimix gave me advice I'll follow next time... Only add salt after the first minute's mixing. Apparently it rises better. Also, I may substitute half the flour with bakers flour next time. Very nice taste.
