2 slices sandwich bread

3 cloves of garlic

1 bunch parsley

1 tsp cumin

1 tbsp baking powder

0.5 tsp smoked paprika

0.5 bunch fresh coriander

1 pinch salt

1 pinch pepper

2 tbsp olive oil

240 g drained chickpeas

1 tsp baharat (optional)

1 clove of garlic

50 g tahini

1 lemon

1 tsp honey

2 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp water

Tips

These falafels will taste even better if you fry them. You can also make the tahini sauce in the mini bowl using the FOOD PROCESSOR programme.

Drain the chickpeas, peel the garlic and place everything in the metal bowl with the bread. Run the program.

If necessary, use a spatula to scrape down the wall of the bowl. Chop the parsley and coriander, then add them to the metal bowl with the rest of the ingredients. Run the program.

With the resulting dough, form dumplings by rolling a tablespoon of dough in the palm of your hand. You can moisten your hands to make them easier to work with.

Heat the oven to 180 °C.

Bake the falafels for 20 to 25 minutes, turning them halfway, until they are golden brown.

Peel the garlic, juice the lemon juice and place into the metal bowl with the rest of the ingredients. Run the program until the sauce is smooth but not too thick or runny.
