Prepare the shortcrust pastry: add an egg and the other ingredients into the metal bowl, then run the program.

- 200 g caster sugar
- 250 g soft butter

Divide the dough in two pieces, one slightly larger than the other.

Roll each piece out into an even disc, wrap in cling film and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Fit the food processing bowl and the midi bowl.
Slice the apples by running the program.

Juice the orange halve.
Dip the apples in the orange juice then put them in a bowl and mix them with the ingredients.

Heat the oven to 180°C.

Use the large disc of dough to line the base of the pie tin, leaving a little overhang around the rim.

Fill with the apple mixture and moisten the edges of the dough with a little water.
Lay the smaller disc of dough over the apple mixture.

Seal the edge of the dough using a fork and trim the overhanging dough.

In a bowl, beat the egg with a few drops of water.
Make incisions in the centre of the dough to allow steam to escape and glaze the surface with the beaten egg. Bake for 45 minute.

Remove and cool in the dish for 15 minutes before serving.
very yummy, however, the instructions do not make it clear to use 4 eggs. Also a 25cm cake tin would be good
