1 bunch basil
1 pinch salt
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 yellow onion
500 g fresh tomatoes
1 red chilli
100 g smoked lardons or bacon strips

If you don' have fresh tomatoes, you can replace them with 1 can of crushed tomatoes. For a more flavorful sauce, brown the onion with olive oil instead of water. For a lighter sauce, add the oil at the end of cooking. For a thicker sauce, rerun the EXPERT programme, speed 1A / 110 ° C for a few minutes.
