Peel, wash and roughly chop the vegetables.

Cut the bacon into lardons (small strips). Brown the bacon with the chopped onion in a pan.
Add the butter and the vegetables. Cook for 2 minutes while stirring.

Add the water, pepper and simmer for about 40 minutes.
