Weigh all the ingredients directly into the metal bowl.
- 250 g of plain flour
- 100 g of sugar
- 100 g of butter (cubed)
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 1 zest of lemon

Run BAKING, PASTRY/CAKES. Press STOP as soon as ingredients are combined.

Either roll into small balls and arrange on a parchment lined baking sheet; and flatten with the back of a fork. Or use a rolling pin to roll out, on to a sheet of parchment and use cookie cutters.

Lift away any off cuts, and slide the parchment onto a baking sheet.

Bake in a moderate oven at 180 °C for approximately 20mins, or until pale golden.
